Overview

The Museum of African Culture is a non-profit organization that relies on programming, membership, the museum store, grants, donations, volunteers, and fundraising to support the daily operational costs and preservation of the artifacts.

Programming, the museum store, membership, general donations and grants are essential to meeting our daily operational costs. The goal of our Capital Campaign is to purchase our new museum space on 13 Brown Street. The Endowment Trust Fund through the Maine Community Foundation has been established to ensure the continuation and sustainability of the museum into the future. Volunteers are the backbone of the museum and are truly what keep the doors open!
